We’d like to say we’re seeing the first signs of spring, but hey, we live “Up North.” Spring is always a little slow to arrive here, but it’s worth the wait! We’re looking forward to warmer weather and all the great events we have coming up in the next couple of months.
Our Events Committee is hard at work planning our (first in-person!) Annual Meeting, scheduled for May 14, 2022. This brunch event will be held at The Inn at Bay Harbor and will include a dynamic keynote speaker, an entertaining round of Legal Jeopardy, the installation of our 2022-23 Board of Directors, and plenty of networking and mingling! We anticipate inviting all attorneys and judges in our Region and we would love to see other WLAM members from around the state in attendance as well. Bring a date or a friend—all are welcome!

We will host a Happy Hour Meet & Greet with the Traverse Area Women Lawyers Association, a committee of the Grand Traverse Leelanau Antrim Bar Association, to be held March 23 at Bonobo Winery in Traverse City. This event is intended to allow us to introduce ourselves to the WLA and hopefully start building connections and relationships with them so we can collaborate more in the future.
We are also planning a service project as part of WLAM’s Make a Difference Day in April, and a fundraising event to benefit a local charity later this summer—details TBA!
