Message from the President

Welcome to WLAM Wayne Region!

It is a true honor to serve as President of WLAM Wayne for the 2026–2027 year alongside an incredible Board of women who bring their time, talent, and energy to this organization. I am grateful for their commitment to our mission and excited for what we are building together.

For me, serving as President feels especially meaningful because WLAM has been part of my professional journey since I was a law student. Over the years, this organization has brought mentors, friends, collaborators, and opportunities into my life. It has shown me firsthand what can happen when women intentionally create space for one another, make the introduction, open the door, and then hold it open for the next person.

That spirit is at the heart of our theme this year: HER MOVE: For the Women Building What’s Next.

HER MOVE is about being intentional about what comes next—for ourselves, for one another, and for our profession. This year, we want to create more opportunities for women to connect, lead, learn from one another, and build relationships that extend beyond any single event.

Through professional development, mentorship, community partnerships, scholarships, and social programming, we are working to make WLAM Wayne a community where law students, attorneys, judges, and leaders at every stage of their careers can find their place.

None of this happens without our members, Signature Sponsors and event sponsors, community partners, and supporters. Your continued investment allows us to expand our reach, support the next generation of women in law, and continue the work that has made this organization so meaningful to so many of us. 

Whether you have been involved with WLAM for years or are discovering us for the first time, I hope you will join us! Come to an event. Introduce yourself. Get involved.
