It is time to submit nominations for WLAM’s 2017-2018 State Board of Directors. The following positions are available:
- President-Elect
- Vice President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Director at Large (3 available)
The current Board encourages each of you to consider becoming a candidate. We are always looking for dedicated WLAM members to be actively involved in both state and regional governance, whether on a Board or through contributions to a Committee. We want our board to be diverse and representative of the finest leaders in the profession.
At the State Board level, we encourage you to send in a nomination for yourself or nominate a WLAM member whom you feel has distinguished herself by her leadership ability. She may have served as a WLAM regional officer, held a position as a committee chair, or served in a leadership role for other organizations.
The evaluation criteria used by the committee to select Officers and Directors include:
- Demonstrated leadership ability;
- Leadership needs of WLAM at the time candidates are being considered;
- Diversity; and
- Membership being current and in good standing.
Please complete the attached candidate information form. Be thorough and provide as much information as possible about the candidate. Nominations are due no later than February 10, 2017 at 5:00 p.m., and should be sent to kpursley@patentco.com. Officers will be sworn in at WLAM’s Annual Meeting which is being held April 28, 2017 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Lansing, Michigan. Thank you in advance for taking an active role in this year’s nomination process and for encouraging your colleagues to do the same.
