The Wayne Region is already off to a busy year. The Board had its orientation on July 10, 2021 at which the Region’s theme for the year “Women Supporting Women” was determined. The Region’s kick off event a “Welcome Back Mix and Mingle” took place at Belle Isle Park on August 19, 2021. The event consisted of networking and raffles and allowed members to meet the board, join a committee and give input on what they want to see this year. The event was well attended and a great time was had by all.
In September, the Region will be having a Legal Libations event at Leila in Detroit which will honor Judge Yvonna Abraham on September 9, 2021, its monthly board meeting will take place on September 13, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at Weitz & Luxenberg, Book Club featuring the book The Boys’ Club will take place on September 14, 2021 at 5:30 pm via Zoom, and its most popular event of the year, its Wine & Garden Party, which will be hosted by Judge Chandra W. Baker, will take place on September 30, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. at Viand in Detroit.
